Likes: the beach, plants, volleyball, a clean house, charcuterie boards, wine and spending time with family and friends Dislikes: unnecessary noises like pen clicking, clutter, and cold weather Sherri Statler was born and raised in Kanakakee, IL. She graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in Communications/Public Relations with a minor in Psychology. Upon graduating she started her sales career in Chicago, IL working for InterCall, a web conferencing company. After reconnecting with a high school friend, she moved to Hawaii in 2003 and started as a mortgage broker for Hawaii Mortgage Experts, LLC where she is still employed today. Sherri and her husband Clayton married in 2004 and resided in Hawaii for 15 years. They have 2 children, Saylor (13), Cooper (10) and a sweet bulldog beagle mix named Lilo. In 2018 the Midwest called them back and they relocated to Kansas City, MO with Clayton’s employer. While residing in Hawaii, Sherri was a trustee for the Honolulu Theatre for Youth, HTY. HTY produces professional theatre and drama education in the state of Hawaii and is one of the oldest and most respected children’s theatres in the country. As a trustee Sherri focused efforts on fundraising and coordinating the theatres annual Masquerade Gala. Her fundraising and volunteer work continued with Unity School, Make a Wish Hawaii, and the Gift of Giving Hawaii. She joins the board as Treasurer and is excited to support the mission of the KCMO Angels. |
